Two friends, one city...one fabulous company!

Yesterday, I came across the work and story of two best friends who started Tilton Fenwick...and I was instantly smitten.
Traditional Home
First, working with your best friend for your own interior design company? Forget what I've ever said before...this is my DREAM JOB!

Second, Anne Maxwell Foster & Suysel dePedro Cunningham went to college in Boston (Tufts & BC)...so did I (BU)!!! They bonded over a shared love of Boston. I wonder if they are looking for a third wheel?

How charming that they named their company after their two freshman dorms? Tilton Fenwick...or could it be Tilton Fenwick Warren??? Ladies...I'm available!!!

Okay but back to reality...

Anne & Suysel were featured in a new online magazine from the editors of Traditional Home (but more on that next week). I instantly fell in love with their story and passion for design.

Check out some excerpts from their interview with Traditional Home & Scheky's:

How did the two of you meet?

(Scheky's) After meeting through our mutual-friend-slash Anne’s boss, Ashley Whittaker, we bonded instantly over a love for Boston, unexpected color palettes, thrill of the hunt and our college sweethearts-turned-husbands.

From our first meeting, we spent the next year and a half emailing daily about all the details of Anne and Ryan’s upcoming nuptials. Emails titled “Love?” or “Must?” or “Need!” were exchanged over our ideas and inspirations for absolutely everything: color schemes, groomsmen gifts, dress designers, table runners, etc. etc.

After Anne’s (dare we say fabulous?) barn-chic wedding in 2009, the daily emailing and creative exchange was missed terribly. Over time and much further discussion about the drive for our combined artistic expression and sharing of amazing finds—high and low, Tilton Fenwick was born.

(Traditional Home) Tilton Fenwick is a home furnishings boutique and design stduio in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. For the duo, who share the same taste in everything "from furniture to nail polish" the partnership has been "a dream." "It's the perfect example of a creative collaboration without compromise," says Foster.

Congratulations ladies...Daisy Buchanan's would be proud :)
