Happy Monday!
A while ago I posted a few of my favorite children's rooms. Then last week I came across The Washington Post's Kids Room Contest. During a six-week period in August and September, The Post invited readers to submit photos of their children’s smartly designed bedrooms. After combing through hundreds of photos, contest judges selected the top five rooms and asked readers to vote online for their favorite.
I am in love with this winning room!
Sources:
Fabric: eBay for $40
Walls: Benjamin Moore Bird’s Egg Blue
Day bed, and ceiling stripes: Duron Melon Shine.
Comforter, coverlet, bedding and pillows: HomeGoods
Chandelier by online crafter Lindsey Hamlin (from a wired fruit basket and 4,400 hand-painted beads): $330.
Bookshelves: Ikea with crown molding placed along the edges to make it look built-in.
As you know I plan to paint the top 1/4 of my office wall navy/white striped...but now I am contemplating painting the stripes on the ceiling instead? What do you think?
Check out some other amazing striped ceilings below...
